All TAA and TAA club chapter activities and events must be registered on the official events calendar. This registration effects event insurance cover to ensure that event organisers and their volunteers are covered against claims from third parties if an incident happens during an event
The categories of events the TAA and any TAA club chapters may promote include fundraisers for AMA Charity (practice, fun, display, etc), working bees (bush/ trail clean ups, etc), social events (BBQ's, gatherings, etc), and TAA competitive events.

All events organised by the TAA or a TAA club chapter are insured by the Australian Motorcyclist Association (AMA), which means we must comply with the codes of practice and operational standards as set by the AMA.
All AMA sanctioned events start with the General Events Code and is the basis for which all TAA and TAA club chapter events operate. Under the AMA event codes, the main activities of the TAA or a TAA club chapter are identified as 'social events', 'non competitive events' and 'competitive events'.
